This ultra fine carpet was made around 1970 and which is approx 18.70 sq.mt in wool and silk and constructed with a silk warp. Made in the satellite town of Najafabad rather than Isfahan city itself which they are commonly mistaken and this is the finest quality made from a Najafabad workshop. The drawing to the center is particularly inspiring. The silk fringes are not original although the carpet is woven on silk warps. It has been carefully washed and is in excellent condition.
